BLACK SABBATH's GEEZER BUTLER Plays Michael Kelly Acoustic Bass
May 9, 2005Michael Kelly Guitar Company has announced that bassist Geezer Butler of the band BLACK SABBATH has chosen to play a Michael Kelly acoustic bass.
Undoubtedly one of hard rock's most influential musicians, Butler has been a member of BLACK SABBATH since the band's inception in the 1960s. Butler received his Michael Kelly Dragonfly bass in Los Angeles where he was departing for a headlining tour of Europe. In addition to his work with SABBATH, Butler has also recorded three CDs with G/Z/R. The group's latest release, "Ohmwork", is due this week via Sanctuary Records.
The Dragonfly 4 is Michael Kelly's latest limited edition acoustic bass. It features a new vine-style inlay made from real pearl and abalone. The all-maple body features quilted maple wood which not only gives the bass a unique look, but also produces improved attack and acoustic projection.
Geezer Butler was introduced to the world of Michael Kelly acoustic basses via F.P.E. agents. F.P.E. is a music marketing and lifestyle company based in Los Angeles, CA.
